How to Use the Calculator

- CBD Percentage (%): Enter the CBD percentage of the cannabis you are using. Similar to the THC percentage, this information should be provided by your cannabis supplier.
- Cannabis Weight (grams): Enter the total weight of cannabis you are using in your recipe. This should be measured in grams.
- Number of Servings: Enter the number of servings your recipe makes. This helps to determine how much THC and CBD is in each individual serving.

When making edibles at home, the efficacy of THC and CBD extraction can vary based on the method and precision used. However, a common estimate for the efficacy of THC and CBD extraction when making edibles at home is around 60-80%.

- Extraction Method: The method used for infusing cannabis into the medium (e.g., butter, oil) greatly affects the efficacy. Infusion methods like decarboxylation followed by fat binding (using butter or oil) are generally more efficient.
